ServiceNow Developer

As a member of the Apex Consulting professional services arm, the ServiceNow Developer is a technical role responsible for configuration, development, and demonstration of client facing solutions within the ServiceNow platform. The ServiceNow Developer contributes to the planning, design and implementation of solutions and takes accountability for the requirements and delivered solution to the customer on the ServiceNow platform.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:

Building green field scoped applications, developing bi-directional integrations via REST and IntegrationHub experience on the ServiceNow Platform. Please do not read on or apply if you do not meet these minimum requirements.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Develop green field scoped applications in the ServiceNow platform
Develop REST integrations using Scripted REST APIs, Import Set Tables and Script Includes
Develop IntegrationHub actions and complex Flow Designer Flows
Configure System Properties, Conditions and other Internal ServiceNow Components
Support and Deliver client demos of as-built functionality
Support the ServiceNow Architect and Client in scoping technical solutions which may involve multiple ServiceNow product lines and complex integrations with other applications and systems
Perform necessary sprint or story demos, deliver required development artifacts, documentation and perform knowledge transfer to customer resources if / when requested
Provide mentorship and guidance to client resources with respect to development performed and best practices within the ServiceNow ecosystem
Research vendor solutions when necessary for client integration requirements with ServiceNow and external / third party systems
Record all time worked accurately and keep calendar up to date with scheduled activities
Other duties as assigned by client or internal leadership

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – current
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – current
4+ years working on the ServiceNow platform and 6+ years of Industry experience

Experience

Consulting experience as a key technical resource performing the development and delivery of ServiceNow solutions
Experience in the following product lines: ITSM, Scoped Applications, IntegrationHub, and Flow Designer
Understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration including: Oauth2, Scripted REST APIs, Import Set Tables, System Properties, Web Services, JDBC, ODBC, REST
Experience with scripting in the ServiceNow platform using JS: Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages, Angular JS, Jelly, etc.
Experience implementing development work using the Agile/Scrum methodology
Active listening skills, takes ownership of contributing input to the conversation while demonstrating strong communication skills in written, interpersonal, and presentational situations
Demonstrated ability to influence, consult and recommend using pros, cons and risks while discussing business processes and/or technical problems and relay in plain English and not jargon
