End client is healthcare client based out of CA
Looking for an API developer with experience in Java or Node.js
Need someone that has 3-4 years’ experience w/Epic (electronic medical record system)
6-8 week engagement building prototype and if end client agrees, the assignment will extend to a 6-12 month contract.
Location: 100% remote and once the extension happens, will have to do some travel

ROLE DESCRIPTION
Looking for a Senior Developer with experience integrating clinical data into and out of Epic. This role is expected to have an integration programming background, as well as the ability to have superb presentation, team management and thought leadership skills. This person will be responsible to evaluate Epic APIs and build solution using integration with Epic.
Qualifications
Role requires a hands-on Tech Lead with deep experience in data services and API development and integration with clinical EMR/EHR systems
Significant experience working with Healthcare Provider Systems.
5+ years experience designing and implementing APIs and data integration services
5+ years experience working with EMR/EHR systems, services and data, with at least 3 of those years being with Epic
2+ years experience working as a solution architect
Experience leading offshore development team
Significant experience working with the following technologies and patterns is required:
FHIR, HL7, and SMART On FHIR
OAuth2
Epic HL7, Epic Bridges, open.epic, APIs and Web Services
Epic Apple Orchard
API Gateway and Management platforms, such as Mulesoft
MicroServices development and design
SOAP and RESTful Web Services design and development
XML, XSLT, and JSON data formats
Java, Springboot, NodeJs and JavaScript
SQL query language and interpreters
Other Required Experience Includes
Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight.
Must have superb verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and sell solutions/concepts to other architects and to business users and stakeholders
Data & Analytics project implementation experiences that exploit the full capabilities (discover, design, implement and optimization).
Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point.
Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members.
Be independent and self-driven.
Must be open to travel.
