BI Analyst
Reporting to the Director of Data Strategy, this role is responsible for data engineering. You will work closely with business, data science, and technical teams to ensure data movement and management within the Enterprise Analytics Platform is completed to the highest standards and proficiency.
Provide technical leadership for Architecture and coding of all data movement on the Enterprise Analytics Platform
Analyze and organize raw data, building data systems and pipelines to prepare data for analytic needs
Combine raw information from different sources to promote building of algorithms and prototypes for analysis and reporting
Based on business usage explore ways to enhance data acquisition, quality, and reliability
Maintain automation platform to ensure all standard data is refreshed and monitored on an ongoing basis
Implement new technologies and tooling to further enable science and analytics, as well as help drive scalable data sharing practices.
Integrate existing operational data assets with new technologies, and oversee the development of new processes that support teams across organization to make data driven decisions.
Track the performance of solutions and related capabilities, constantly evolving our offering in order to scale our capability set with the growth of the business and needs of our customers.
Mentoring other Data Engineers, ensuring data engineering best practices are being followed
Ensure hardware is architected and provisioned based on usage forecast and budget
Ensure security standards are applied to the platform
Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or Data Analytic with 10+ yrs of experience, a Master’s is a plus.
Demonstrated strength in SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
Knowledge of data platforms and functions supporting Analytics
Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java and Python)
Great numerical and analytical skills
Snowflake/PowerBI integration
Extensive Experience with Big Data Technologies (Snowflake Integration, Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Pig, Spark, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technology solutions to senior leadership, gain alignment, and drive progress
