Description: Project Validation & Test Lead
Lead testing, validation, and some project management activities for the qTest/VERA implementation project
The person hired for the position of IT Quality Project Analyst will directly support the implementation of a new Test Management system (qTest) for 3M as part of 3Ms Technology Transformation and Services (TTS) program. This includes responsibility for defining, documenting, communicating, and managing the tasks associated with the project. This position requires knowledge and experience applying testing and defect management best practices along with awareness of Computer System Validation requirements and activities. The role requires the ability to work with cross-functional teams from different businesses and countries. The ability of this person to structure and organize the associated activities as well as communicate with key stakeholders will help ensure success in the IT Quality Services organization.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Complete and manage tasks defined in the project plan as assigned
* Apply knowledge and experience of best practices and tools to help configure and establish both the system and the processes for test management
* Troubleshoot and help solve complex challenges arising from the implementation of the new test management system
* Assist with creation, organization, and delivery of training materials
* Assist with updating documentation, such as SOPs as needed
* Help maintain status reporting and backlog management in the Jira system
* Facilitate cross-functional process design and testing sessions
* Ensure requirements are met and defects are documented and managed accordingly for the new test management system
* Establish continuous improvement activities related to the test management process to drive operational efficiencies, improve project outcomes, and create a sustainable solution
Basic Qualifications:
* 2 year degree or higher from an accredited university or trade school
* Minimum 4 years of Software Quality Assurance (SQA), Testing, and/or Validation experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* 2 years of experience using, configuring or implementing qTest (a Tricentis product)
* 2 years of experience with test management process design, including traceability reporting
* 2 years of combined experience work with a global implementation project and/or SAP
* 3 years of experience working with Quality Test Tools – HP Quality Center (ALM), Jira, qTest, or other
* Exceptional organizational and communication skills, proven track record of strong project coordination/management success
* Experience working in a regulated environment (SOX, FDA, etc) subject to compliance controls
* Health Care Audit experience
* PMP certification or working towards
* Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs
* Strong skills in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provides best practicing sharing within work group. Will develop program testing strategy for integration, system, performance, UAT and regression testing; drives execution of program test plans to ensure high quality results; manages issues and risks; coordinates with business and development teams to formulate test cases and ensure defect resolution. Is also the owner of the planning and execution of the overall testing efforts; status updates to stakeholders, writes test plans, executes the tests and documents results. Responsible all communications and updates to stakeholders and program management.
