Full Stack Java Developer -Tampa, FL
Apex Systems has a Full Stack Java Developer role. Our client is looking for creative engineers with the knowledge, motivation, and energy to help build robust solutions in our Syndicated Video on Demand (SVOD) Ratings product. This role will focus on the engineering, operations, deployment, troubleshooting, organization, and technical communication of a new in-house solution related to current and future US-based streaming providers.
Continuously improve, redesign, architect, and develop components for capturing streaming video metadata
Implement fail-safe automation, database, and UI tools to capture hundreds of movies, series episodes, and sporting/entertainment events daily
Collaborate with operations teams to build fully automated data pipelines
Work closely with product and operations teams to find the best solutions for evolving markets internationally and live events
Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, outside-of-the-box thinking and teamwork
Communicate clearly and concisely with the ability to synthesize a lot of information quickly and highlight key insights
The ideal candidate has:
Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of software development experience in Java, and Python.
1+ years of experience with AWS cloud environment, Associate/Professional certifications preferred
High expertise with Web APIs, DOM, HTML5 and Chromium-based browser backend
CI/CD experience (Gitlab or Jenkins)
Strong experience in reverse engineering web platforms (online video preferred)
Ability to use Agile process for project management, development & tracking
Comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment. Requirements change quickly and our team needs to constantly adapt
Strong communication skills and able to clearly articulate complex issues and technologies
