Job Description

Job Summary – The Cloud Architect is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of the enterprise’s overall architecture of systems utilizing cloud infrastructure. Defines cloud-based system solutions based on need, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, and platforms. A Cloud Architect researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery. Keeps abreast of emerging cloud technologies and evaluates vendor offerings to determine best fit for business needs, as well as enterprise opportunities for advancement. The Cloud Architect ensures cloud governance, monitoring, vendor management and other cloud related policies are defined, developed and adhered to for effectiveness of operations.

Job-Specific Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math or related field
Industry experience with cloud deployment, technical and security architecture, database architecture, virtualization, software design, application lifecycle management and supporting production cloud environment.
8+ years’ experience with server operating systems and in supporting server related infrastructure and software is required.
Strong knowledge of and experience with network directory services such as Microsoft Active Directory required.
Strong knowledge of and experience with messaging systems such as Microsoft Exchange required.
Strong knowledge of and experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
Strong knowledge and experience with managing storage area networks.
Must have a thorough understanding of current networking technologies, security administration, and backup & disaster recovery technologies and solutions.
Working Linux knowledge preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills required.
Must work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail keeping quality results as the central focus of all work.
